Ian Felice
Ian is experienced in transactional work involving the use of Gibraltar-based structures, primarily for UK and European commercial property investments.
Ian acts on behalf of lenders and borrowers alike in large property acquisitions, advising on all aspects of Gibraltar law relating to the uses of Gibraltar companies in these transactions.
Ian also advises on company purchases and sales and the drafting of all types of corporate and commercial agreements. Ian has recently spearheaded the use of Gibraltar limited partnerships for use in such transactions. Ian acted on the corporate and commercial matters involved in the first listing of a Gibraltar company in the top 100 of the London Stock Exchange, and advised on a capitalisation and share contribution scheme leading to the floatation of a large South American steel manufacturer in the New York Stock Exchange. Ian is also a director of several large property portfolio holding companies, with assets in excess of several billion pounds.
Recently, Ian has done extensive work in the area of distressed asset purchases, having acted for a US Fund in the purchase of the business of a crystal and porcelain manufacturer and in the restructure of a Bermuda-based property investment group. He is also acting for a US Fund on the purchase of a portfolio of European commercial property loans and recently completed the purchase of a children's TV channel for a major international news group.
An LLB Honors Graduate from the University of Nottingham, Ian completed his Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Courts School of Law in London. A member of the Honorable Society of the Middle Temple, Ian was called to the Bar in England and in Gibraltar in 1999. He became a Partner in 2006.
